Alasdair Hooper is a dedicated journalist currently working as Duty Editor for the Formula 1 website. He is also the founder and host of SportSpiel, a feature interview sports podcast.

Previously he worked as Sports Content Editor for the Daily Mirror, Daily Express and Daily Star. Before that he was Digital Content Lead for HertsLive and also a multimedia journalist at EssexLive.

Alasdair’s work has encompassed sport, features and news and he was Highly Commended in the Multimedia Story of the Year Category at the 2018 NCTJ Awards for Excellence.

Alasdair has also worked closely with sports charity The Mintridge Foundation, including hosting live Q&A’s at their fundraiser events and supporting them by running two half marathons.
